Cortex Activate
Cortex Activate is the bridge between Signal Intelligence and the Content Engine. It lets you turn market signals into brand-aligned content with a single action.
How Activate Works
Section titled “How Activate Works”When you’re reviewing signals in the Signal feed and find an opportunity worth pursuing:
- Click Activate on the signal
- CXOps creates a new Cortex project named “Signal: [signal title]”
- The signal’s context — URL, key points, keyword data, and source metadata — is injected as source material
- A draft is automatically queued for generation
- The signal status updates to Acted On
The generated draft is informed by:
- The signal’s content and context
- Your Brand DNA Vault settings (voice, tone, persona)
- SEO analysis for the target keyword
- GEO analysis for AI visibility
What Gets Created

The resulting Cortex project includes a draft with:
- Optimized content sections tailored to the signal’s topic
- SEO analysis targeting the keywords from the signal
- GEO analysis for AI visibility optimization
- Agent suggestions specific to the competitive opportunity
- Behavioral insights based on your selected persona
From Activate to Published
Section titled “From Activate to Published”The full pipeline:
- Signal detected → appears in your Signal feed
- Activate → creates a Cortex project with a generated draft
- Review & edit → refine content in the Cortex editor
- Compliance check → run Govern checks for brand consistency
- Approve → mark the draft as finalized
- Adapt → generate channel-specific versions (LinkedIn, email, ads, etc.)
- Publish → push to WordPress or export
When to Use Activate
Section titled “When to Use Activate”Activate is most valuable when:
- A keyword gap signal reveals a term competitors rank for that you don’t
- Competitor content signals show a topic you should have a presence on
- A trending topic is emerging and you want to be an early authority
- Industry news requires a timely response from your brand
- Act fast on trending topics — timeliness matters for trend-based content
- Review before publishing — Activate generates a strong starting point, but editorial review ensures quality
- Connect signals to personas — when editing the activated draft, select the most relevant persona for more targeted content
